Roma, Italy and Tel-Aviv, Israel – May 20, 2013
Perytons Ltd. announced today its new Network Visibility line of products. The new product line is aimed for service providers and operators installing and maintaining nation wide ZigBee or narrow-band PLC networks for applications such as home automation, smart energy and commercial building automation.
By nature, such networks are built-up in a way that local network/s are part of regional or nationwide multi-network implementations.
The remote networks typically use multi-vendor equipment, implementing fast evolving standards and have no technical experts on site – yet the aim is that all would be part of the Internet Of Things value chain.
Whether based on wireless or narrow-band wire-line PLC protocols, system integrators as well as solution and service providers require sophisticated diagnostics and monitoring tools that enable them, among others, to provide and meet Service Level commitments. The Perytons Network Visibility products specifically address these market requirements.
“Different applications like Home and Building Automation, Meter Automatic Reading and Smart Energy are already a reality and their implementation continues to grow at a remarkable rate” said Rubi Elbirt – VP Business Development and Sales at Perytons. “In this new line of products, Perytons leverages its current products and market leadership, extending it from a standalone analysis tool into a nation wide operator grade monitoring and diagnostics solution” added Rubi.
Perytons remote agents are embedded into each one of the local networks and communicate with the operator’s helpdesk, where Perytons server applications run automatic diagnostics on the remote networks for preemptive analysis, allow helpdesk operators to issue manual analysis if a customer faces a problem and support easy sharing of escalated scenarios with back office support and R&D.
“A service center in the cloud to remotely monitor, control and diagnose faults of wireless networks is the obvious next needed step” said Fabio Bellifemine – Director of the Energy@home Association. “Specifically when looking at wireless networks for the different applications, the Remote Networks Monitoring solution introduced by Perytons should be a must for all long lasting installation of the ZigBee networks” – added Fabio.
